Accounting Assistant – Polish & English EU Financial Support

Job summary

Syndigo in Poland is hiring an Accounting Assistant on a full-time fixed-term contract through December 31, 2027. You will join the European Accounting Team handling accounts payable, bank allocations, cash reporting, and GL postings.

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, you will post journals, assist with month-end close, audits, and liaise with suppliers and budget holders to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• University degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Polish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with NetSuite accounting software or other ERP systems would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of MS Office skills, especially Excel to Intermediate or Advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in line with approval process.
• Complete weekly/ bi-monthly supplier payment runs.
• Complete bank allocations and weekly bank reconciliations.
• Post journals for payroll, balance sheet correction and month end accrual standard journals.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports for Manager review.
• Provide support for annual audits, financial reports and tax audits.
• Communication with suppliers, finance team globally and budget holders.
• Support accurate and timely closure of the month.
• Identify improvements in efficiency for the Accounting Team.
