Job summary

Boston Scientific Poland seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls within a hybrid Warsaw-based role. You will collaborate with finance teams and GBS, optimize processes, and support audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.

Ideal candidates have a strong General Ledger background, SAP and SAP S4 Hana familiarity, and excellent communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in finance/accounting or related field.
• Experience in General Ledger and month-end close processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute month/quarter/year-end close processes and prepare financial reports.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries with finance/GBS teams.
• Optimize accounting processes in coordination with stakeholders.
• Ensure KPIs/OPIs defined by GBS are met.
• Support internal and external audits (SOX, CAC).
• Apply LEAN methodologies to improve processes.
• Implement quality requirements across financial processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements and standardization.
• Ensure compliance with legal/ethical standards and internal quality.
• Create and maintain desktop procedures.

Role Purpose:

Performs a variety of complex duties in general accounting such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and performing the monthly financial close and consolidation, external and internal reporting, monitoring SOX/internal control requirements, support audits and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute month/quarter/year-end Close processes to ensure timely and accurate Close and financial reports preparation.
• Oversee financial and accounting process and work closely together with finance teams and GBS teams, with a high focus on controlling balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries:
  • Resolve month-end discrepancies and connect with counterparts to maintain clean balances.
• Optimize current financial accounting process in coordination with stakeholders.
• Comply with KPI’s and OPIs as defined by GBS.
• Drive compliance in all finance-related matters and ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and GAAP principles.
• Support internal and external audits and audit-related accounting matters (SOX, CA&C).
• Apply LEAN methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
• Participate in implementing quality requirements in all aspects of the financial process.
• Identify and implement process improvement and standardization.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal demands, ethical standards and the Internal Quality.
• Desktop procedures creation and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor Financial accounting/ Business Economics/ Other financial related studies
• 3-5 years similar experience in General Ledger area
• Fluencyin English, additional language capabilities are a plus.
• SAP experience. Hyperion and Cadency experience will be an additional asset.
• SAP S4 Hana experience will be an additional asset.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills and focus on building relationships.
• Self-motivated yet team player.
