Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, tax, and corporate reporting. You will collaborate with finance teams, auditors, and stakeholders to assure accurate financial results and compliance.

Responsibilities include close activities, reporting, SAP system implementation support, and process improvements. Fluent Polish and English, strong Excel skills, and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of accounting experience required.
• Fluency in Polish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with SAP; SAP S/4HANA knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with team orientation.

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Prepare corporate and statutory financial reporting.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, Global Business Services, and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and documentation.

Accountant

About the role:

As an Accountant, you will support day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities, as well as tax, compliance, corporate reporting, and statutory reporting. You will work closely with finance colleagues, corporate functions, internal and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and support corporate and statutory financial reporting.
• Work closely with local finance teams, Global Business Services, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and local policies, statutory requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits, including the preparation of documentation and resolution of accounting-related queries.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize, and simplify accounting processes.
• Create, update, and maintain desktop procedures and other process documentation.
• Support the implementation of the new SAP system, including testing, training, and documentation.
• Contribute to functional projects and take on additional accounting responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

• At least three years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or a related field.
• Fluency in Polish and English, both written and spoken.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to organize work effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with SAP; knowledge of SAP S/4HANA would be an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and relationship-focused approach.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
