Job summary

Pepco Poland Sp. z o.o. is hiring an Accountant in Poznań to support import accounting, process SAD documents, verify customs data, and ensure timely postings in the accounting system.

A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is required, 2–3 years’ experience, strong Excel, SAP and AX familiarity, and good English. You’ll join an international team focused on accuracy and improvement.

• Practical experience in accounting and a good understanding of tax-related matters.
• Strong computer literacy and advanced Excel skills.

• Processing and posting SAD and other import-related documents accurately and on time.
• Verifying customs documentation against supplier invoices and data in the accounting system.
• Reviewing and posting customs decisions and corrections, including VAT adjustments.
• Identifying quantity and price discrepancies and resolving issues per procedures.
• Performing accounting checks and reconciliations related to import activities.
• Supporting month-end activities, reconciliations and audits related to import accounting.

Accountant

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Processing and posting SAD (Single Administrative Document) and other import-related documents accurately and on time in the accounting system
• Verifying customs documentation against supplier invoices, purchase orders and data recorded in the accounting system, including amounts, currencies, exchange rates, dates and customs-related information
• Reviewing and posting customs decisions and corrections, including adjustments related to customs duty and VAT
• Identifying and investigating quantity and price discrepancies related to imported goods and ensuring they are handled in line with established procedures
• Processing and posting credit and debit notes related to shortages, overages, price differences and supplier claims
• Performing accounting checks and reconciliations related to customs duty, import VAT, supplier liabilities and other import-related accounts
• Monitoring documents requiring additional clarification or correction and following up on outstanding discrepancies
• Maintaining relevant registers, tracking files and supporting documentation and ensuring appropriate archiving of processed documents
• Ensuring that import-related transactions are processed in accordance with internal accounting policies, controls and local requirements
• Cooperating with customs agencies and internal teams to resolve import-related accounting issues
• Supporting month-end activities, reconciliations and audit requirements related to import accounting
• Contributing to process improvement, standardization and knowledge sharing within the P2P team

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar position
• Practical experience in accounting and a good understanding of tax-related matters
• Strong computer literacy and advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of financial and accounting systems; experience with SAP and AX will be an advantage
• Good command of English, as it will be used on a daily basis
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Team-oriented approach and openness to collaboration and change
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset
