Job summary

Planet is seeking Major Incident Managers in Warsaw and Galway to own major incident bridges in Planet’s 24/7 Command Centre. When a major hits, you take the bridge: the right people, a crisp timeline, clear comms and a path to resolution — every time.

You will own major incident bridges end-to-end on a 24/7 rota, run parallel-bridge capacity, drive incident communications, produce timelines, and manage handovers across shifts and locations to a documented standard.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in major incident management or senior incident roles in 24/7 NOC.
• Excellent written and spoken English with calm communication under pressure.
• Experience with ITSM and alerting tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own major incident bridges end-to-end on a 24/7 rota and manage escalation.
• Run parallel-bridge capacity to avoid queueing concurrent majors.
• Drive crisp incident communications: status updates and executive summaries.
• Produce timelines and lead blameless post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate handovers across shifts and locations to a documented standard.
• Contribute to drills, playbooks and improvement of response performance.
