Job summary

Jacobs’ GDC Poland in Krakow and Warsaw seeks an experienced Bridges professional to lead multi-disciplinary projects from design through documentation and delivery. You will mentor staff, liaise with clients and contractors, and ensure health and safety are integrated into design, with English-language project delivery.

The role requires a Master’s in engineering, Chartered Engineer status, and very good English.

Qualifications

Master's degree in an accredited engineering discipline is required.
Chartered Engineer status from a professional body is required.
Very good command of English is required.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects is required.
Experience in Bridges design, analysis, assessment, inspection, and reports is expected.
Good presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor less experienced staff
Use relevant Structural/Bridges design software
Develop networks with global technology leaders for Bridges
Ensure quality control plans are followed, incorporating health and safety into design
Deliver bridges design, project documentation including reports and contract documents for various design stages such as feasibility studies, tenders, detailed designs, and more
Manage your own Bridges projects and liaise with other project managers
Track project programs and delivery dates
Undertake technical reviews and checking
Liaise with contractors and clients, both external and internal
Assist others with bidding (technical)
Deliver projects in English
