Job summary

University of Narowal is seeking a Visiting Professor to deliver high-quality teaching, support student learning, and contribute to the department's academic objectives. The incumbent will teach courses, conduct assessments, maintain records, and uphold university policies.

The position requires a PhD and extensive teaching/research experience, with a strong publication record and commitment to quality assurance and professional development within a postgraduate environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in relevant field.
• Fifteen years teaching or research or professional experience in a postgraduate institute or a university recognized by the HEC or national/international organization.
• Fifteen research publications in journals recognized by the HEC, five of which in the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practicals and laboratory sessions as assigned.
• Prepare and update course outlines in line with the approved curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials and learning resources.
• Conduct quizzes, assignments, presentations, mid-term and final examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades within the timelines.
• Maintain attendance and academic records accurately.
• Provide academic guidance to students during designated office hours.
• Utilize modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
• Ensure compliance with the University's academic rules, policies and quality assurance requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, workshops and faculty development activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all academic matters.
• Perform other duties assigned by Head of Department or Dean.

Job description

The Visiting Professor is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student learning, and contributing to the academic objectives of the department.
