Job summary

University of Narowal invites applications for a Visiting Associate Professor to deliver high-quality teaching, support student learning, and contribute to departmental objectives.

The incumbent will teach assigned courses, conduct assessments, maintain records, and ensure compliance with academic policies while participating in faculty development activities. A PhD and extensive experience are required, with a strong record of publications and teaching excellence.

Qualifications

• PhD in relevant field / discipline and equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by the HEC.
• Ten years teaching or research or professional experience in a postgraduate institute or university recognized by the HEC or national/international organization.
• Five years post-PhD teaching or research or professional experience in a postgraduate institute or university recognized by the HEC or international organization; ten research publications with four in last five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practicals, and laboratory sessions as assigned.
• Prepare and update course outlines in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
• Conduct quizzes, assignments, presentations, mid-term, and final examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades within prescribed timelines.
• Maintain attendance and academic records accurately.
• Provide academic guidance and consultation to students during designated office hours.
• Utilize modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
• Ensure compliance with the University's academic rules, policies, and quality assurance requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, seminars, and faculty development activities when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all academic matters.
• Perform any other academic duties assigned by the Head of Department or Dean.
