Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practicals, and laboratory sessions as assigned.
• Prepare and update course outlines in line with the approved curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
• Conduct quizzes, assignments, presentations, mid-term and final examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades on time.
• Maintain attendance and academic records accurately.
• Provide academic guidance during designated office hours.
• Utilize modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
• Ensure compliance with university academic rules and quality standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, seminars and faculty development activities.

Job description

The Visiting Professor is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student learning, and contributing to the academic objectives of the department. The incumbent shall teach assigned courses, conduct assessments, maintain academic records, and comply with the academic policies, regulations, and quality standards of the University.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practicals, and laboratory sessions as assigned.
• Prepare and update course outlines in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
• Conduct quizzes, assignments, presentations, mid-term, and final examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades within the prescribed timelines.
• Maintain attendance and academic records accurately.
• Provide academic guidance and consultation to students during designated office hours.
• Utilize modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
• Ensure compliance with the University's academic rules, policies, and quality assurance requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, seminars, and faculty development activities when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all academic matters.
• Perform any other academic duties assigned by the Head of Department or Dean.

Conditions

i. PhD in relevant field / discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; and

ii. fifteen years teaching or research or professional experience in a post graduate institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission or national or international organization.

OR
