Role Description

This full-time Videographer & Video Editor (Short-Form) role at Rot Media is a hybrid position based in Lahore, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves Shooting, and editing short-form video content (reels, TikToks, shorts) aligned with brand guidelines and creative briefs. Day-to-day tasks include setting up camera and lighting equipment, capturing high-quality footage, selecting the best clips, and editing for pacing, storytelling, and social platform optimization. The Videographer & Video Editor will collaborate closely with the creative team on concepts, scripts, hooks, and visual styles, and will adapt content for different social media channels. The role also includes maintaining organized media libraries, staying updated on short-form trends, and ensuring timely delivery of content for campaigns.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a portfolio of short-form content (Reels, TikToks, or Shorts) that they shot and edited themselves. This is required.
• Candidates should be able to shoot on an iPhone, with strong framing, steady handheld shots, and clean audio.
• Candidates should be able to use natural light and simple lighting setups to create visually appealing content, both indoors and on location.
• Candidates should be proficient in CapCut, including cuts, captions, transitions, sound syncing, and trending edit styles.
• Candidates should understand short-form formats and best practices for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, including hooks in the first 2 seconds, pacing, and retention.
• Candidates should keep up with social media trends and be able to adapt them to different brands.
• Candidates should take feedback well and turn revisions around quickly.
• Candidates should be reliable and responsive, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should be based in Lahore and available for on-location shoots.
• A degree in film, media, or a related field is a plus but not required.
