Job summary

Glovender is seeking a hard-working vendor manager to support our supply chain team in monitoring, managing, and supervising vendors in Sialkot, Pakistan and Lahore, Pakistan. Your responsibilities include building relationships, negotiating pricing, and assessing vendor performance to ensure timely, compliant order processing.

You will travel between locations, conduct site visits, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and proven vendor management experience are required.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to travel to various locations with own transportation; multitasking capability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with approved vendors.
• Meet with vendors to assess products, negotiate pricing, and address concerns.
• Research vendors to identify best pricing and quality; onboard right-fit partners.
• Implement best practices to onboard vendors and ensure compliance with standards.
• Interview new vendors and inform them of responsibilities and obligations.
• Establish vendor performance standards and monitor compliance with standards.
• Report metrics to the supply chain manager in a timely manner.
• Resolve disputes with vendors promptly; visit vendor sites for inspections.
• Evaluate current vendor programs and identify areas for improvement.

Glovender is looking for a hard-working and responsible vendor manager to help our supply chain team in monitoring, managing, and supervising our vendors in Sialkot, Pakistan and Lahore, Pakistan.

Glovender is a fast-growing Nashville based supply chain acceleration startup. We help leading brands and emerging creators avoid supply chain delays, accelerate product launches, and maximize profits using our G360 Command Center™ platform and global supply chain agents.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
• Meet with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns
• Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality
• Implement industry best practices to find and onboard the right fit vendors
• Conduct interviews with new vendors and inform approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations
• Establish standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors
• Ensure that all vendors are compliant to international standards
• Report all metrics required by the supply chain manager in a timely manner
• Resolve disputes with vendors in a timely manner
• Regularly visit vendor sites to conduct random inspection and ensure client orders are getting processed in an effective and timely manner
• Evaluate current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration, or a related field
• Proven experience working as a vendor manager
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
• The ability to travel at different locations with your own transportation
• The ability to multitask effectively
• Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in Urdu and English
