Job summary

Game District is seeking a 2D Game Developer - Unity to join our Lahore studio. You will design, implement, and maintain high-quality 2D mobile games using Unity and C#, focusing on smooth gameplay, responsive UI, and robust performance across devices.

You will work with designers, artists, QA, and fellow developers, review code, optimize memory and loading times, and stay current with Unity features and mobile gaming trends.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Unity game development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and OOP.
• Hands-on Unity Engine experience and core systems.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles.
• Experience developing and shipping mobile games.
• Strong knowledge of gameplay programming, physics, UI, and optimization.
• Experience with Git/version control.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality 2D games using Unity and C#.
• Develop gameplay systems, mechanics, UI, animations, physics, and features.
• Write clean, scalable, optimized code.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, QA, and other developers to implement features.
• Optimize games for performance, memory, loading times, and stability on mobile.
• Debug and resolve issues, crashes, and bottlenecks.
• Integrate third-party SDKs, analytics, ads, and in-app purchases.
• Conduct code reviews and guide junior developers.
• Participate in technical discussions and improve workflows.
• Stay updated with Unity features and mobile gaming trends.
