Job summary

ACE Money Transfer is seeking a Treasury Team Lead to manage the daily treasury operations, oversee the liquidity position, and coordinate with banks and internal teams.

You will ensure accurate funding, timely settlements, and strict adherence to controls, while leading a growing treasury group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 4–6 years in Treasury Operations or related finance roles.
• Experience in cash-flow forecasting, bank funding, settlements, reconciliations, and FX.
• Strong knowledge of treasury controls, maker-checker processes, and risk management.
• Excel and financial reporting proficiency; familiarity with treasury systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop the Treasury Operations team.
• Monitor daily cash balances, liquidity, and funding requirements.
• Ensure timely funding of bank accounts within cut-off times.
• Plan funding for weekends, holidays, and high-volume periods.
• Oversee settlements and reconciliation of local and international transactions.
• Review pending transactions, failed payments, and settlement exceptions.
• Maintain controls—maker-checker, four-eye reviews, and incident logs.

Treasury Team Lead manages day to day Treasury operations and leads the Treasury team to ensure effective cash management, liquidity planning, bank funding, settlements, FX support, and operational controls. The role ensures Treasury activities are completed accurately, within cut-off times, and in line with approved policies, limits, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop the Treasury Operations team.
• Monitor daily cash balances, liquidity positions, and funding requirements.
• Ensure bank accounts are funded on time and within applicable cut-off times.
• Plan funding requirements for weekends, public holidays, and high-volume periods.
• Monitor local and international settlements and ensure completion within agreed timelines.
• Review pending transactions, failed payments, and settlement exceptions.
• Ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and outstanding breaks are resolved on time.
• Monitor Treasury limits, counterparty exposure, and key operational risk indicators.
• Escalate material funding gaps, limit breaches, settlement delays, and control issues promptly.
• Support FX exposure monitoring and ensure approved FX deals are processed within currency cut-off times.
• Ensure maker-checker and four-eye controls are followed for all relevant transactions and system entries.
• Review daily Treasury reports, cash-flow forecasts, funding updates, and operational dashboards.
• Maintain the Treasury incident log and ensure incidents are investigated and reported on time.
• Coordinate with banks, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records, supporting documents, approvals, and audit trails.
• Support implementation of Treasury policies, procedures, system changes, and process improvements.
• Maintain sufficient cross-training and cover arrangements within the team.
• Support the Treasury Manager or Unit Head with management reporting, audits, and strategic Treasury initiatives.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management is preferred.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Treasury Operations, Banking Operations, Cash Management, or Financial Services.
• Experience in cash-flow forecasting, bank funding, settlements, reconciliations, and FX operations.
• Strong knowledge of Treasury controls, maker-checker processes, and operational risk management.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; knowledge of Treasury Management Systems and bank portals is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and team-leadership skills.

• Settlement Performance:Local and international settlementscompleted within theagreed SLA.

• Funding Accuracy:Accurate and timely funding of bank accounts and executionof funding instructions.

• Forecast Accuracy:Cash-flow forecastsaccurately reflect actualfunding requirements.

• Funds Shortages:Number and value of funds-shortage incidents monitoredand minimized.

• Reconciliations:Aged reconciliation breaksresolved within agreedtimelines.

• Cut-off Discipline:Zero missed bankor currency cut-off times.

• Control Compliance:Compliance with Treasury limits, policies, procedures, and four-eyecontrols.

• Incident Management:Timely escalation, resolution, and closure ofincidents, exceptions,and control issues.

• Reporting:Accurate and timelydelivery of Treasuryreports and managementinformation.

• Team Development:Completion of training, cross-training, productivity improvement,and achievement ofagreed team objectives.
