Job summary

ACE Money Transfer Limited is seeking a Treasury Intern to support the Payout Side Operations Lead in daily treasury activities, including payout funding, FX deal tracking, and reconciliations. The role provides hands-on exposure to cash management and banking processes under close supervision.

The intern will assist with monitoring balances, preparing trackers, and ensuring timely funding while adhering to maker-checker controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of banking, payments, cash management, or Treasury operations preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily payout-side cash balances, funding, liquidity, FX deals, and wires.
• Prepare and maintain payout funding trackers.
• Support timely funding of payout accounts within bank cut-off times.
• Track allocation of funds to payout partners.
• Monitor FX deals, wires, settlements and follow up with internal teams.
• Assist in funding planning for weekends and high-volume periods.
• Prepare payout-side reconciliation files for review.
• Identify settlement breaks and data discrepancies, and escalate as needed.
• Maintain bank records and supporting documents.
• Provide inputs for daily cash-flow and payout reporting.

Purpose of the Role

Treasury Intern supports the Payout Side Operations Lead in daily Treasury activities. The role assists with payout funding, FX deal and wire tracking, settlement monitoring, fund allocation, reconciliations, and reporting. The intern works under close supervision and develops practical knowledge of cash management, Treasury controls, banking processes, and payout operations. Approval, decision-making, and bank relationship responsibilities remain with the Payout Side Operations Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring daily payout-side cash balances, funding requirements, liquidity positions, FX deals, and wire settlements.


• Prepare and maintain payout funding trackers for review by the Payout Side Operations Lead.


• Support the timely funding of payout accounts within applicable bank and currency cut-off times.


• Assist in tracking allocation of funds to payout partners and highlight pending or insufficient balances.


• Monitor pending FX deals, wires, and settlements, and follow up with relevant internal teams as instructed.


• Support funding planning for weekends, public holidays, and high-volume periods.


• Prepare payout-side reconciliation files and supporting records for review and approval by the Payout Side Operations Lead.


• Identify and promptly report settlement breaks, rejected transactions, data discrepancies, and other exceptions.


• Maintain accurate transaction confirmations, bank records, settlement evidence, and supporting documents.


• Assist in preparing daily updates on payout funding, partner balances, settlement status, and pending items.


• Provide timely inputs for daily cash-flow and payout cash-requirement reporting.


• Ensure all assigned activities follow the applicable maker-checker and four-eye control requirements.


• Maintain confidentiality of bank balances, payment data, rates, and other Treasury information.


• Follow approved Treasury policies, procedures, control requirements, and escalation protocols.


• Build working knowledge of payout operations, bank funding, FX deal support, settlement processes, reconciliations, and reporting tools.

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; fresh graduates may apply.


• Basic understanding of banking, payments, cash management, or Treasury operations is preferred.


• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to work accurately with data and reports.


• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and willingness to learn.


• Good communication skills and ability to work responsibly within deadlines, especially around bank cut-off times.
