Job summary

EBM seeks a seasoned Mechanical Maintenance Lead to oversee repair and optimization of conveyors, ovens, blowers, and packing machines, ensuring reliable production operations. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with extensive hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, machining, welding, and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve energy efficiency.

You'll coordinate workshop activities, document repairs, and collaborate with engineering teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial machinery.
• Strong practical knowledge of workshop operations, milling machines, lathes and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and machine controls.
• In-depth understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Expertise interpreting drawings, schematics, and 3D models for machinery and system designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical mechanical systems (conveyors, ovens, blowers, packing machines).
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for complex machinery (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication).
• Direct and manage day-to-day workshop operations involving fabrication, milling, lathe machining, and welding.
• Supervise machining and fabrication tasks, including designing and manufacturing custom components using lathes and welding equipment.
• Plan and implement modifications to existing machinery for capacity upgrades and efficiency gains.
• Ensure safety standards compliance, conduct risk assessments, and implement safety protocols.
• Develop technical documentation, maintenance logs, and manuals with accurate records.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate mechanical systems into workflows.
• Lead troubleshooting with cross-functional teams to address complex mechanical and electrical issues.
