Job summary

BAT is seeking a Team Lead - SMD in Akora Khattak, Pakistan to oversee shift operations, ensure on-time production, and drive continuous improvement. You will supervise machine downtimes, quality targets, and workforce deployment while promoting a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering with 0.5–1 year of ops exposure, strong technical insight into machines, drawings, and electrical systems, plus proficiency in MS Office and exposure to

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience in managing operations through internships or employment (0.5 - 1 year) is a plus
Strong technical concepts in machine build, technical drawings, electrical systems
Proven ability to mentor and develop others on the shop floor
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, unionized, and digitally-focused environment
Sound skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate is advantageous

Responsibilities

Schedule and control shift operations to meet daily and monthly production targets
Ensure downtime and machine operations align with Master Production Schedule
Manufacture high-quality products meeting Q2S and Q2C targets
Improve processes to reduce market complaints and protect product integrity
Deploy workforce per crewing pattern to achieve output
Achieve strong results in Process Reliability and Downtime targets
Lead Root Cause analysis on chronic stops on the shop floor
Lead Shift Transition Meetings per Site DDS DMS
