Job Description:

• Work with developers to identify, create, and configure Azure resources
• Work with developers to implement automated process jobs and application deployments from development to production
• Work with development teams and key stakeholders to create a plan for monitoring performance and maintaining Azure resources
• Proactively monitors application health, availability, performance, integrations, and dependencies across cloud and on-premises environments and recommends improvements
• Supports application deployments and release validation across development, testing, and production environments, including troubleshooting deployment failures and post-release issues in coordination with Development and DevOps teams
• Share best practice to improve the team while seeking the same in return
• Own issues with a sense of urgency, and consistently make recommendations to improve application performance and environment stability
• Assist with communication of process changes, enhancements, and modifications
• Troubleshoot system latency in order to resolve application issues
• Lead resolution of technical issues, including identification of root cause and long-term solutions

Skills/Knowledge:

• Experience with Azure resources in PaaS models. Resources included; API Management Service, Application Gateway, Docker, Key Vault, AD and B2C OpenID/OAuth 2.0 Configurations, etc…
• Experience implementing or modifying Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) release pipelines within Azure DevOps for .NET Core Apps on Docker containers, SQL DB releases
• Experience with unit, integration and functional test implementations
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting for custom process or health automation
• Experience and knowledge for logging or anomaly detection with resolution or alerting for Azure resources
• Comfortable with creating or editing YAML, JSON, XML, or PowerShell files that configure, manage, or deploy applications to Azure
• Must have strong maintenance and configuration experience on Azure systems
• Must have product knowledge, experience administering, migrating and optimizing Azure
• Strong ability to develop architecture, design deliverables, implement infrastructure and provide support as an Azure SME
• Troubleshoots traditional application components—including IIS websites, Windows services, and scheduled tasks—as well as Azure-hosted services, containers, APIs, and integrations
• Demonstrates working knowledge of cloud application architecture, identity, networking, databases, integrations, observability, security, and enterprise ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Strong technical background and ability to work with engineers, developers, and end users
• Troubleshoots application-hosting and platform dependencies across Azure and on-premises environments, engaging infrastructure or cloud platform teams when deeper platform remediation is required
• Must have in-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 and SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016
• Exhibits working knowledge of enterprise server storage, server infrastructure, networking, and other hardware or software technologies
• Experience with MS SQL Server/Managed Instances (queries, DTS, stored procedures, data structures, and analysis)
• Participates in 24x7x365 enterprise operational support as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
