Job summary

LUMS is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist to manage the financial aid process, ensuring accurate assessment, documentation, and communication of student funding decisions. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include reviewing applications, guiding students on funding options, and maintaining records in the student management system, with a focus on equitable aid allocation across Pakistan.

Qualifications

• BS(Hons) degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial aid administration or student services.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with Urdu and English proficiency.
• Knowledge of financial aid policies and data management.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess financial aid applications for completeness and compliance.
• Provide guidance on funding options, payment plans, and financial estimates.
• Counsel students and parents on policies, documentation, and timelines.
• Conduct interviews and verifications to establish financial need.
• Coordinate with committees and prepare case summaries for reviews.
• Maintain records of aid disbursal, adjustments, and case histories.
