Job summary

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is seeking a results-driven sales professional to develop and execute strategic plans across defined segments in the wholesale sector. You will drive incremental sales, analyze customer trends, and build strong cross-functional relationships with Procurement and Operations to deliver customized solutions.

Responsibilities include analyzing market data, preparing feasibility studies, and maintaining detailed customer records to monitor progress and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Graduation or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for defined segments.
• Drive incremental sales by adding relevant articles to customers’ baskets across dry food departments, such as D&T and S&C, which offer strong margin opportunities.
• Conduct pre-visit analysis of customer sales and buying trends, followed by gap analysis to assess objectives and outcomes after each visit.
• Continuously enhance market and competitor knowledge to support METRO in adapting its sales strategies accordingly.
• Define objectives and action plans for each customer.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Procurement and Operations, to develop initiatives and customized solutions.
• Maintain detailed customer notes and tracking sheets to monitor customer development and progress.
• Prepare feasibility studies for business solutions and develop weekly plans according to portfolio priorities.
• Participate in team meetings and sales training sessions and contribute to a positive, high-performance sales culture.
• Monitor and follow up on key customer portfolio KPIs, including turnover, margin, frequency, etc.
• Attend relevant training programs to develop additional skills and competencies based on the specialization.
• Ensure regular follow-up on customer commitments made during visits or through phone calls.
