Job summary

METRO Pakistan is hiring for a field sales role to expand its wholesale customer base across the region. You will focus on activating new buyers, ensuring SOP adherence, and achieving set sales targets.

The role emphasizes building profitable customer baskets, growing the portfolio, and maintaining detailed records and analyses before visits. You will regularly monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine strategies and deliver superior service.

Responsibilities

• Increase the number of new buying customers through activation.
• Ensure the implementation of all SOPs.
• Achieve sales targets as per the given targets.
• Achieve the margin KPI by creating profitable customer baskets.
• Increase the customer portfolio size by adding new customers.
• Achieve required average sales turnover per customer.
• Drive incremental sales by adding articles to customer baskets across Dry Food departments, e.g., D&T and S&C, as these departments carry good margins.
• Represent a positive image to customers through an in-depth understanding of the business, METRO selling skills, and excellent customer service.
• Enhance market and competitor knowledge consistently so that METRO can adapt its strategy accordingly.
• Maintain customer files and conduct customer analysis before each visit.
• Pre-plan customer visits by analyzing sales and buying trends before the visit; conduct gap analysis against the set objectives and outcomes after the visit.
• Define objectives and action plans for each customer.
