Job summary

World Food Programme in Lahore, Pakistan seeks a Programme Policy Officer to provide strategic leadership for nutrition, emergency, and related programmes in Punjab. The role includes planning, coordination, monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making to enhance food security and nutrition outcomes.

The incumbent will engage with provincial authorities, partners, and UN agencies, leading capacity building, assessments, and knowledge management while supervising programme staff.

Qualifications

• An advanced university degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Food Security, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field; or a first university degree with two additional years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, monitoring, and strategic development of nutrition, food systems, and school meals initiatives in Punjab.
• Engage with provincial departments, government bodies, cooperating partners, and development stakeholders to support policy dialogue and ensure high-quality programme implementation.
