Job summary

Veroke seeks an experienced software engineering leader to shape engagements, design architectures, and guide distributed teams for client projects. The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, solution design, and mentoring across stacks.

The candidate should excel in client discussions, architectural reviews, and hiring technical talent while driving delivery quality and strategic tech decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of total software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Engineering Lead, Technical Consultant, or similar role.
• Hands-on knowledge across at least two technology stacks.
• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven experience in client-facing technical discussions and requirement discovery.
• Strong experience in technical interviewing and engineering talent assessment.
• Ability to technically lead, mentor, and supervise distributed engineering resources.
• Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to challenge assumptions when the requirement, resource profile, or technical approach is not right.
• Nice to Have: Experience in Resource Augmentation / IT Services / Consulting / Presales / Technical Estimation.

Responsibilities

• Recommend the appropriate skills, seniority, technology stack, and team composition for each engagement.
• Technically supervise developers and engineers deployed with clients.
• Monitor technical progress, productivity, quality, and delivery risks.
• Identify technical blockers, capability gaps, underperformance, or scope issues before they become client escalations.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, design, integrations, implementation decisions, and complex technical issues when required.
• Conduct technical reviews and regular check-ins with deployed resources.
• Lead technical interviews and assessments and help maintain a strong technical hiring bar.
• Evaluate candidates based on both technical capability and client/engagement fit.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal leadership.
