Job summary

Pakdata is seeking a Mobile Application Software QA Tester to validate mobile apps on iOS and Android. You will read, review, and execute test cases, capturing screenshots to document outcomes.

You will report bugs to the project team, re-test after fixes and update test steps as required, while contributing to test result walkthroughs and status updates in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year mobile app testing on iOS or Android devices.
• Experience on projects using Agile/Scrum development.
• Solid understanding of QA methodology and practices.
• Interest in technology and new applications.
• Team player with good collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

PDMS is searching for a Mobile Application Software QA Tester to test mobile applications running on iOS & Android devices.

The Software QA Tester (SQA) role is to read, review, run test cases and capture screenshots of successful or unsuccessful test activity in our applications. This individual will inform the relevant person associated with the project of the issues / bugs found, re-test the functionality once the issues / bugs have been addressed and also inform the relevant person of any updates to the test steps, as required.

• Test mobile applications across phones and tablets
• Review scenarios and products content to understand test requirements.
• Run identified test cases for identified functionality
• Identify and document issues / bugs in user experience, usability, process flows, identified functionalities and communicate them to the team.
• Assist in the preparation of test result walkthroughs / presentations to the project team and business representatives.
• Under supervision the QA Tester will participate in data requests, report generation, defect reviews and specified project status meetings.

Qualifications

• Very familiar with smartphones and tablets: at least 1 year mobile application test experience on iOS, or Android devices
• Previous engagement on projects using Rapid Application Development process – Agile / Scrum
• Solid understanding of QA methodology and practices
• Intrigued by technology and new applications
• Team player
