Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer with end-to-end delivery.

Job Description: Role Description

The Software Developer will work full time in a remote capacity, building and maintaining software solutions that support FairJ Consultancy’s student-visa and admissions operations. Daily responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications, as well as integrating new features into existing systems. The role involves collaborating with counseling and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, automating workflows, and improving data management and reporting tools. The Software Developer will also contribute to system performance optimization, security best practices, documentation, and ongoing technical support. Participation in code reviews, adherence to development standards, and continuous learning about new tools and frameworks are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer with the ability to develop a complete application from scratch to production deployment.
• Strong expertise in Frontend and Backend Development.
• Proficiency in React / Next.js, JavaScript / TypeScript and modern web technologies.
• Strong backend development skills using Node.js, Python, Django, FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL and database architecture.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, data security and privacy.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Docker, Linux and CI/CD.
• Practical experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar platforms.
• Experience building search engines, filtering systems and recommendation systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with AI/LLM APIs, AI-assisted systems, RAG or intelligent recommendation systems is a strong advantage.
• Ability to design a university database and eligibility assessment system where students can search universities worldwide and check their eligibility based on their academic profile.
• Experience working with large datasets, APIs, data importing, data validation and automated data updates.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, scalability, performance optimisation and testing.
• Ability to independently handle the complete development lifecycle: planning → architecture → development → testing → deployment → maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience developing EdTech, university admission, education consultancy or similar platforms will be an advantage.

We are looking for a developer who can take end-to-end ownership of the project. The ideal candidate should be capable of building the platform from scratch to a fully deployed, production-ready system, rather than specialising only in frontend or backend development.
