Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot breakdowns and coordinate with operators and vendors for technical details.
• Record shift maintenance activities and maintain a comprehensive logbook.
• Report issues and performance metrics to the Maintenance Manager.
• Conduct handovers and lead shifts across mornings, afternoons, nights, or breaks.
• Work with QHSE to ensure safety and environmental compliance and mentor the team.

Job Purpose

To supervise the mechanical and electrical maintenance activities within the plant by ensuring that all equipment and machinery in the plant are operational as per safety and regulatory standards

Job Responsiblities

• Provide support to the Mechanics and Electricians, ensuring all factory maintenance operations are executed and adhere to established operating standards
• Analyse equipment logs and carry out critical maintenance tasks; utilise maintenance management software to schedule and allocate resources to reduce production disruptions
• Troubleshoot unexpected breakdowns, collaborate with operators for insights and consult with equipment vendors as needed to understand machinery specifications
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders, quickly addressing malfunctioning machines to minimise operational disruption
• Record and maintain a comprehensive logbook detailing all maintenance activities conducted during each shift
• Ensure the accurate and thorough documentation of operational records to track and analyse performance metrics; report any findings to the Maintenance Manager
• Report machinery status, issues, and other relevant details to the Maintenance Manager
• Conduct thorough handovers to the next shift, ensuring vital information and updates are communicated
• Lead and oversee shifts spanning operational hours, covering morning, afternoon, night, or break shift
• Work with the QHSE team to ensure machinery and equipment comply with safety and environmental standards
• Provide mentoring and training to the team, ensuring their skills remain up-to-date
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in maintenance methods to ensure NFL’s manufacturing processes align with industry best practices.
