Job summary

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited seeks a seasoned Head of SME Credit to oversee end-to-end underwriting for SME and microenterprise lending, including AI-based scoring and risk-based pricing. You will own credit policy, portfolio monitoring, and delegated approval within SBP frameworks.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Technology to digitise SME lending journeys and ensure audit-ready processes while driving responsible growth in line with risk appetite.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in SME or business credit risk/underwriting.
• 3–4 years in portfolio ownership or leadership.
• Strong knowledge of SBP regulatory framework and Digital Banking Framework 2022.
• Experience with AI/ML-based or alternate-data credit scoring for thin-file borrowers.
• Certifications such as FRM, CRC or equivalent are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end credit assessment and decisioning for SME/microenterprise portfolio.
• Define SME-specific credit assessment methodology and due diligence.
• Define and lead AI-based lending approach with governance.
• Hold delegated credit approval authority and chair reviews.
• Monitor portfolio quality and adjust underwriting policy as needed.
• Partner with Sales on growth strategy and risk-adjusted pricing.
• Work with Product/Technology on digitisation of SME lending journeys.
• Own collateral documentation standards and monitoring.
• Coordinate with Collections on early-warning and restructuring.
• Ensure audit-ready SME credit processes and act as contact for audits.
• Provide credit training to SME sales teams.
