Job summary

Lumida is seeking a Senior Quantitative Engineer to build the quantitative research and production systems behind our investment platform. You will work with the CEO/CIO, researchers, and engineers to develop systematic strategies, portfolio-construction tools, and risk models.

This role spans Lumina Invest and internal CIO tools; you will design scalable Python systems, production-ready services, data pipelines, and rigorous validation, with a focus on backtesting, data integrity, and

Qualifications

Five or more years of experience in quantitative engineering or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn).
Strong SQL skills and experience building reliable data pipelines.
Experience designing or improving a backtesting system.
Knowledge of market data conventions, prices, and corporate actions.
Experience implementing tax-aware portfolio strategies and risk modeling.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent exceptional ability.

Responsibilities

Refine backtesting engine, libraries, and model-validation framework.
Build data pipelines for market, fundamental, alternative, and internal datasets.
Develop systematic investment strategies and risk models.
Create production-ready Python services and APIs.
Monitor production data and model performance.
Translate research into implementable strategies with CIO team.
