Job summary

AppWork is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated tests across a web portal, mobile app, and backend APIs. You will work with R&D squads to embed testability from day one and focus on risk-based automation prioritization.

You will investigate bugs, document clearly for engineers, and verify fixes using automation while maintaining CI/CD test pipelines and ensuring robust integration tests. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA automation, with a track record of building and maintaining automated test suites from scratch.
• Hands-on experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
• Comfortable reading and writing code (JavaScript/TypeScript) to build, debug, and maintain test automation.
• Experience with modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines (Playwright, Cypress, Postman, GitHub Actions).
• Strong risk instinct to identify areas needing deeper coverage and prioritize automation.
• Clear communicator capable of writing bug reports and test plans for engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, for documentation and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across Web Portal, Technician App (iOS/Android), and backend APIs.
• Partner with R&D squads to bake testability into new features from day one.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and prioritize automation by risk and impact.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document bugs; verify fixes before release using automation.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD test pipelines for quick, diagnosable failures.
• Test integrations to ensure accurate bidirectional sync of work orders and unit status.
• Contribute to test strategy for AI features.
• Champion testable designs and strong regression safety nets.
