Job summary

Zong 5G in Islamabad is seeking a seasoned PS Core Network Engineer to manage the overall operations of the PS Core, including ATCA/Cloud/SPC platforms, data services across 2G/3G/4G/5G, Policy control, VoWiFi, CDN and DNS integration.

You will drive availability to 99.999%, coordinate with vendors, lead a small team, monitor KPIs, manage network data and documentation, and oversee upgrades to prevent service impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Electrical or CS or related degree.
• 6+ years in relevant field with at least 1 year in team management.
• Strong follow-up, presentation, pressure handling and deadline orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of network resources at 99.999% at all times.
• Manage SCP / VAS and Packet Core Domain.
• Maintain and resolve identified issues; drive KPI improvements.
• Manage network data and documentation including KPI data and help files.
• Coordinate with vendors for emergencies and replacements of faulty hardware.
• Oversee upgrades/patches to avoid adverse network impact.
