Job summary

SMEC is seeking a motivated Planning Engineer to join our team for a key hydropower project based in Peshawar. This role offers hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, and management, contributing to the successful execution of a high-impact infrastructure initiative.

You will develop, monitor, and update project schedules, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare progress reports for stakeholders, while ensuring quality and safety standards in all planning activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience on large-scale infra- or hydropower projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using advanced planning tools.
• Collaborate with project teams to align timelines with execution plans.
• Analyze project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on schedule performance for stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in planning and scheduling activities.
