Job summary

Adamjee Life in Karachi seeks an experienced IT professional to support, maintain, and develop Core Insurance and BI systems. The role involves designing front-end forms and ETL processes to meet user requirements, while ensuring reliable operation of CoreApp, Takaful, and Jasper environments.

You will work with Oracle Databases, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms & Reports, Apex, and related tools to implement data interfaces and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience with CoreApp, Takaful, and BI systems preferred.
• Ability to design, develop and maintain ETL processes.

Experience

At least 4-5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• To support, maintain, and develop core Insurance, Takaful, and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Including designing systems, programming front-end applications, and creating custom business forms and reports based on user requirements.
• Evaluate business requirements for IT development, systematically registering, analyzing, and processing development requests within CoreApp, Takaful, and Jasper environments to provide efficient service delivery.
• Ensuring the smooth, day-to-day operation of Core systems, designing robust ETL processes using PL/SQL procedures, and managing data imports and exports.
• The role demands maintaining consistent coding standards, ensuring module documentation availability, and promptly submitting developed model documentation to relevant departments.
• Furthermore, this role requires managing group dynamics while coordinating effectively across different departments and guiding users to help them work efficiently.

Competencies

• Strong expertise in Oracle Databases (9i–11g), PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports, Discoverer, Toad, PL/SQL Developer, APEX, and data import/export utilities.
• Proficient in ETL development, OOP concepts, HTML/CSS, Linux-based data operations, ERD tools, and SOA IIB integration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Insurance or Takaful experience is preferred.
