Qualifications

• 5–6 years of Oracle EBS experience.

Octans Digital is seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Consultant with 5 to 6 years of expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x. This role requires a strong blend of technical development skills and functional support knowledge, especially in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Financials. The consultant will work closely with business users and technical teams to analyze requirements, develop scalable solutions, and support the complete lifecycle of Oracle EBS implementations. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it demands excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure smooth integration and functionality of Oracle EBS modules across financials, procurement, inventory, and order management domains. The successful candidate is proficient in developing and maintaining complex reports, interfaces, and workflows using BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, and Oracle APEX applications. They possess hands‑on experience with front‑end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and AJAX to enhance user interfaces and automate business processes. Furthermore, this role requires practical knowledge of system integration techniques using REST APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, and XML to connect Oracle EBS with external systems and vendor portals. A thorough understanding of Oracle EBS configurations, security, and performance optimization is vital to ensure the system's reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and gather detailed business requirements to design effective Oracle EBS solutions aligned with company goals and user needs.
• Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL programs including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to support Oracle EBS functionality and customizations.
• Create, update, and optimize BI Publisher reports, Oracle Reports, and custom applications to meet business reporting demands.
• Design and implement system integrations using RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and database interfaces to enable seamless communication between Oracle EBS and external applications.
• Develop web-based applications, interactive reports, dashboards, and forms using Oracle APEX for enhanced business process automation.
• Configure Oracle EBS modules including setup of flexfields, value sets, concurrent programs, request groups, responsibilities, and application-level security.
• Support and troubleshoot RICEW components including reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, workflows, and APIs to ensure smooth application operations.
• Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning to enhance response times and handle large volumes of data efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, infrastructure, and vendor representatives to deliver integrated and scalable Oracle EBS solutions.
• Assist in all phases of the solution lifecycle such as requirement gathering, technical specification preparation, unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and production support.
• Conduct root cause analysis for application issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Document all developed solutions, configurations, and processes to maintain comprehensive records for future reference and audits.
• Stay updated with Oracle EBS advancements and integration technologies to continuously improve system capabilities and introduce innovative enhancements.
• Ensure data security and compliance with company policies by managing application security configurations within Oracle EBS.
