Job summary

Adamjee Life in Karachi seeks an Assistant Manager Oracle Developer to design, develop, maintain core Insurance, Takaful, and BI systems. You will design systems, program front-end applications, and create custom forms and reports based on user needs.

You will evaluate business requirements for IT development within CoreApp, Takaful, and Jasper environments, ensure daily operation of core systems, and design PL/SQL ETL processes, while adhering to coding standards and documenting modules.

Qualifications

• At least 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Oracle Database and PL/SQL development skills.
• Experience with Linux environments and ETL processes.
• Experience with Oracle Forms/Reports, Apex Reports, and related tools.
• Knowledge of Erwin, SOA IIB is a plus.

Assistant Manager Oracle Developer needed to support, maintain, and develop core Insurance, Takaful, and BI systems. Duties include designing systems, programming front‑end applications, and creating custom forms/reports based on user needs. The candidate will evaluate business requirements for IT development, systematically processing requests within CoreApp, Takaful, and Jasper environments.

Responsibilities include ensuring the smooth daily operation of Core systems, designing PL/SQL ETL processes, and managing Linux‑based data imports/exports. The role demands maintaining consistent coding standards, ensuring module documentation availability, promptly submitting developed model documentation to relevant departments, managing group dynamics across departments, and guiding users to work effectively.

Competencies

Expertise in Oracle Databases (9i/10g/11g/12c) and proficiency in PL/SQL, HTML, Oracle Forms/Reports Builder, Discoverer, Toad, PL/SQL Developer, and Import/Export utilities are required. Must have clear OOPS concepts, strong PL/SQL ETL process design expertise, and proficiency in Apex Reports. Knowledge of Erwin (ERD), SOA IIB, Linux environments, and strong logical problem‑solving skills are essential. Insurance or Takaful sector experience is highly advantageous.

Qualification Required

At least Bachelor in Computer Science / Software Engineering
