Job summary

PwC Pakistan is seeking a Senior Manager in Assurance to lead complex financial services audits across banks, insurance, asset management and NBFCs. You will guide engagement strategy, oversee significant judgments, and manage senior client relationships with a focus on audit quality and independence.

You will collaborate with partners and directors, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to portfolio growth and market initiatives within PwC Pakistan’s Assurance practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
• Minimum five years of post-qualification experience, substantially in external audit and assurance.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex financial services audits and managing multiple engagements or a significant client portfolio.
• Broad sector exposure across banking, insurance, asset management, non-banking finance or capital markets is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex audits and assurance engagements for financial services, including banks, insurance and asset managers.
• Set engagement direction with partners and directors, challenge audit strategy and address risks.
• Oversee key judgments and complex matters such as ECL, impairment, fair values, regulatory capital and solvency.
• Review critical audit documentation, financial statements and communications to audit committees.
• Lead consultations with technical accounting, risk, independence, legal, actuarial, tax and technology specialists.
• Maintain senior relationships with CFOs, audit committees and boards while upholding independence.
