Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analytics & Engineering Lead to lead our Data Analytics and Data Engineering teams and drive the optimization and modernization of our data architecture, pipelines, reporting, and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Qlik Sense, Power BI, Big Data, SQL, data engineering, and cloud technologies, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The role will support cross-functional teams, modernize legacy reporting platforms, improve data delivery, and ensure secure, reliable, and actionable data solutions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Data Analytics and Data Engineering teams, ensuring effective delivery and adoption of best practices.
- Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data platforms, and data architecture.
- Provide technical leadership across Qlik Sense, Power BI, Big Data, and data engineering initiatives.
- Support Big Data technologies including Cloudera Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Pig, Flume, Sqoop, Cassandra, and related technologies.
- Support Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure cloud services.
- Provide technical support for Oracle Banking and RTB projects across operations, regulatory, and corporate functions.
- Oversee reporting processes and outputs to meet stakeholder, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Modernize legacy platforms such as MicroStrategy (MSTR), BusinessObjects (BO), and Informatica ETL by migrating to modern BI tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI.
- Develop automated dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable business insights.
- Develop and optimize Qlik Sense applications, dashboards, data models, N Printing, Alerting, Catalogue, and Replicate solutions.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis, feasibility analysis, impact analysis, and data mapping.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including automation of manual processes and optimization of data delivery.
- Ensure data is secure, properly managed, and reliably delivered across systems.
- Build data and analytics tools that support data analysts, data scientists, software developers, and database teams.
- Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, Design, Technology, and Business teams to address data-related technical challenges.
- Analyze large datasets and deliver data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
- Mentor team members and promote effective Agile and data engineering practices.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading Data Analytics and Data Engineering teams.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Qlik Sense, including dashboard development, data modeling, reporting, application design, architecture, N Printing, Alerting, Catalogue, and Replicate.
- Strong experience with Power BI and self‑service BI solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, HBase, Flume, and Sqoop.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra and HBase.
- Strong SQL and database skills with experience in Oracle, MS SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL, data integration, data architecture, and data modeling.
- Experience with legacy BI/ETL technologies such as MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, and Informatica.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure cloud services, and/or Databricks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of requirements gathering, gap analysis, feasibility analysis, data mapping, and functional/technical documentation.
- Strong data visualization and analytical skills with the ability to analyze large datasets.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning technologies is a plus.
- Financial Services domain knowledge is preferred.
