Job summary

HR POD Careers seeks an experienced Linux systems administrator/infrastructure engineer in Lahore to manage a large fleet of Linux servers, patch, harden, and troubleshoot across bare-metal and cloud environments.

You will design networking, deploy NFS storage, automate with Ansible, and build observability using Grafana. Collaborate with Platform Engineering and SRE to improve reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals and troubleshooting across OS, kernel, storage, and performance.
• Solid TCP/IP networking fundamentals with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Experience operating NFS and other shared storage in production.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Administer, patch, and harden a large fleet of Linux servers across bare-metal and cloud.
• Troubleshoot OS, kernel, performance, and hardware issues to identify root causes.
• Design, configure, and manage TCP/IP networking including routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Deploy and manage NFS storage and other shared file systems for high-throughput workloads.
• Automate provisioning and remediation using Ansible and IaC practices.
• Build and maintain monitoring and dashboards using Grafana; manage tickets in ServiceNow and JIRA.
• Own capacity planning, OS lifecycle, standard builds, and image management.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and SRE on reliability and security.
• Document standards, runbooks, and procedures to reduce toil.
