Job summary

Prime System Solutions seeks a Systems Engineer to build, harden, and operate a Linux server fleet powering GPUaaS workloads. You will ensure the OS, networking, and storage layers are healthy, secure, and automated at scale.

You will patch, monitor, and optimize infrastructure with Ansible, Grafana, NFS storage, and ticketing tools, collaborating with Platform Engineering and SRE to improve reliability and reduce toil.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Linux systems administration or infrastructure engineering at scale.
• Strong Linux internals and troubleshooting across OS, kernel, storage, and performance.
• Solid TCP/IP networking fundamentals with hands-on network troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management in production.
• Experience with Grafana and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA).
• Scripting in Bash and Python for automation.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Administer, patch, and harden a large fleet of Linux servers across bare-metal and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot OS, kernel, performance, and hardware issues to root cause.
• Design, configure, and operate TCP/IP networking including routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and bonding.
• Deploy and manage NFS storage for high-throughput workloads.
• Automate provisioning and remediation using Ansible and infrastructure-as-code.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards with Grafana and observability tooling.
• Manage the operational workflow through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
• Own capacity planning, OS lifecycle, and image management.
• Partner with Platform Engineering and SRE on reliability and security.
• Document standards and runbooks to reduce operational toil.
