Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Experience using approved AI-assisted engineering tools across the software development lifecycle with validation, secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and responsible adoption at scale.
Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted capabilities to improve value of automation at scale.
Provides technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
Influences product design, functionality, and operations.
Serves as a function-wide SME in focus areas.
Contributes to engineering community around SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices.
