Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Pakistan is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive AI-assisted engineering across the SDLC. You will guide architecture, review production code, and mentor teams to deliver secure, scalable services in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

The role requires deep Java 8+, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and cloud experience (AWS/Cloud Foundry), plus strong observability with Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience using approved AI-assisted engineering tools across the software development lifecycle with validation, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
• Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and test acceleration.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Deep expertise in Java 8+ / Spring Boot, microservices, and React/Angular.
• Kafka/event-driven architecture experience; retries, idempotency, DLQ, schema/versioning.
• Experience with SQL databases and data modelling; NoSQL experience with Cassandra/DynamoDB/Elasticsearch.
• Cloud Foundry/AWS and CI/CD strategy and execution.
• Observability through Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana.
• Experience building resilient, highly available architectures.

Responsibilities

• Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve value realized by automation at scale.
• Provides technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations.
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• Contributes to engineering community as an advocate of firmwide SDLC frameworks and practices.
