Contour Software Lahore is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and integrate AI features into our product suite. You will build AI-enhanced modules, optimize LLM workflows, and create intelligent automation for internal and external use cases.

Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams, you will deploy AI components across web, mobile, and backend systems, apply ML techniques, and stay up to date with new LLMs and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 4+ years of professional AI/ML engineering experience.
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and embeddings.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions using LLMs, autonomous agents, multi-agent workflows, and tool-enabled AI systems.
• Build AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, executing tasks, validating results, and iterating autonomously.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, source-control platforms, ticketing systems, and other business applications.
• Design and implement tool calling, MCP servers, connectors, skills, and reusable agent capabilities.
• Implement prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and embeddings.
• Research and apply ML techniques to solve real product challenges.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to integrate AI components into web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Improve product workflows using intelligent automation and predictive models.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to discover areas where AI can create business value.
• Conduct R&D on emerging AI technologies, staying up to date with new LLMs and tools.
• Participate in agile planning and stand-up meetings as necessary.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

The Position

The division is looking for a skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our product-focused software team. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to design, develop, and integrate AI-driven features into our products. This includes building AI-enhanced modules, optimizing LLM workflows, improving development processes with AI, and creating intelligent automation for various internal and external use cases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Lahore resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or applied AI development.
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn etc.)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and embeddings.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.)
• Strong programming skills

• Ability to design software using industry standard technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in applications efficiently.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a development team.

• Strong understanding of core Java concepts, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Good understanding of unit tests, performing code reviews, and ensuring the quality and reliability of code.
• Have the ability to perform comfortably in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented work environment.
• Must be adaptable and willing to continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Good in working across cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with stakeholders, and conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Can effectively leverage cloud technologies to build scalable, reliable, and secure applications that meet the demands of modern cloud‑based environments.
• Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of cloud‑native architectures and services
• Familiarity with building and deploying microservices‑based applications.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with WebRTC for real-time audio/video communication in web applications.
• Familiarity with SIP-based communication and JavaScript SIP libraries such as SIP.js or JsSIP.
• Understanding of browser-based WebRTC APIs, including media streams, peer connections, and real-time communication concepts.
• Experience integrating web applications with VoIP/SIP infrastructure would be a plus.
