Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer in Islamabad for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services. You will work on REST APIs, database integration, and enterprise applications, collaborating across teams to ensure robust, secure solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–6 years of hands-on Java experience, strong Spring Boot proficiency, and a solid understanding of microservices, OAuth2/JWT, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of professional Java backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and relational databases.
• Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth2/JWT).
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend services and enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile apps.
• Contribute to system and solution design and architectural decisions.
• Follow clean code, SOLID principles, and best practices for scalable solutions.
• Integrate with relational databases and external/third-party services.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, PMs, and other tech teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support CI/CD pipelines.
