Job summary

Digifloat is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer- Java Developer (Spring Boot) in Islamabad, Pakistan. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The candidate should have 4-5+ years of Java experience, strong Spring Boot expertise, and solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, Hibernate/JPA, and relational databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4-5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and ORM frameworks.
• Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to build robust solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Support deployment activities and production troubleshooting.
