Job summary

Vulcan Tech is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead end-to-end client platform development, from data models to interface design. You will own features in production, shape architecture with clients, and mentor engineers across the team, leveraging AI tooling to accelerate delivery while preserving quality, security and performance.

You will work with React, TypeScript and Node.js, participate in discovery sessions, and write robust, well-tested code while maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• Substantial commercial experience building and operating production web applications.
• Strong command of React, TypeScript, Node.js and relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Sound understanding of API design, authentication, security and performance fundamentals.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and cloud deployment.
• Clear written and spoken English, and confidence working directly with clients.
• A track record of mentoring engineers and raising the standard of a codebase.
