Job summary

Mashreq Bank PSC seeks an experienced financial reporting professional to ensure accuracy and compliance of Sundry GLs and Internal Accounts. The role focuses on monthly variance analysis, escalation of exceptions, and strengthening internal controls across the bank's reporting framework.

The ideal candidate has CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent with 7–8 years in financial reporting or banking, proficient in IFRS and Excel, and capable of guiding cross-functional teams to mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications

• CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent qualification is required.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting or internal controls, preferably in banking/FS.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting for banking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic reviews of Sundry GLs and Internal Accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform monthly variance analyses and prepare variance reports for internal use and regulatory reporting.
• Manage end-to-end escalation process for exceptions and communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor and rectify reverse, abnormal, and mismatch balances; reconcile GL subsidiary accounts.
