Contour Software, a global software company with a major presence in Karachi, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team. You will manage monthly accounting, close processes, and prepare income statements, while partnering with Business Units to deliver accurate reporting and forecasts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of IFRS is an asset.

Qualifications

• Attained a Business/Finance degree with preference for professional designations (CMA/CA/ACCA).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a senior financial analyst or similar.
• Knowledge of IFRS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly financial accounting, journal entries, accruals, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly income statements and close processes.
• Lead quarterly forecast with business-unit leaders.

You are a strong listener and collaborative individual, who likes to put forward suggestions and ideas on how to improve the status quo with a strong focus on process management.**Job Responsibilities:**As an important member of our Finance team you will:· Responsible for monthly financial accounting, including journal entries, accruals and financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results for Business Units· Prepare monthly financial reports including Income Statement· Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close· Lead quarterly forecast process by partnering with Business Units leaders· Compare actual results with forecast to analyze and identify areas of strengths and weakness· Develop and deliver a consistent and accurate analysis of business performance using KPI and non-financial data to highlight performance· Liaise with the various Business Unit Managers to provide support as required· Prepare account reconciliations including prepayment and accruals schedules on monthly basis.· Review account reconciliations FA prepared· Prepare monthly commissions schedule for payroll processing· Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by Management· Prepare note disclosures for quarter-end and year-end· Train and mentor junior analyst and other staff on best financial practices· Assist with internal and external audit requests as required· Continuously improve procedures; develop reports to drive insight and accountability**Job Qualifications:**· Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. MBA, BBA. etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study/designations (CGA/CMA/CA/ACCA)· Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a senior financial analyst, financial analyst, or in a similar position· Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel· Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues· Excellent communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management.
