Job summary

The British American Tobacco Group in Karachi invites applications for a Commercial Support Officer to lead end-to-end import/export operations, manage LC transactions, and coordinate with Treasury to ensure timely material availability for the business.

You will liaise with suppliers, customs, clearance agents and Finance to monitor shipments, analyse duties and taxes, and ensure compliance while supporting ongoing improvements in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in Custom Duty Calculation & Processing.
• Hands-on experience with factory warehousing processes
• Proven ability to coach and develop others
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment
• Computer literacy and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role
• Familiarity with WeBOC & PSW portal

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end import and export operations to ensure timely material availability and uninterrupted business operations.
• Manage Letters of Credit (LCs) and coordinate with Treasury and banks for smooth import transactions.
• Maintain records of vendor accounts, LCs, and provide regular status updates.
• Handle bank, shipping, and trade documentation while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with clearance agents, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to monitor shipment and clearance status.
• Analyze the impact of duties, taxes, and other import-related costs on shipments.
• Liaise with suppliers, customs authorities, and clearance agents to ensure timely documentation and smooth clearance of imports, exports, and samples.
• Lead regular coordination meetings with Commercial, Treasury, and key stakeholders while ensuring compliance with import laws and factory protocols.
