Job summary

Veeam is building a new SaaS platform with a globally distributed backend team to underpin enterprise analytics solutions. You will design, implement, and maintain core backend services, focusing on performance, security, and reliability to enable safe AI at scale.

We expect strong experience with Go or Python or Java, Docker/Kubernetes, Linux, and REST-based microservices. You’ll thrive in Agile environments and love learning new technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of software development experience, with container tech like Docker.
• Experience building highly available, scalable cloud-based distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of multi-threaded applications and performance tuning.
• Professional dev experience with Go, Python, Java, or C++ and Linux scripting.
• Familiarity with microservices, REST-based HTTP/2, SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo/Elasticsearch).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Jenkins; Agile development experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a globally distributed team to design/develop/architect the core backend platform.
• Create architecture docs, design specifications, and test plans.
• Coordinate end-to-end development, deployment and testing of new features.
• Write reliable, secure, scalable code and perform code reviews.
• Monitor performance, respond to on-call issues, and address customer issues.
• Integrate new technologies into back-end cloud infrastructure.
