Job summary

Veeam is seeking a skilled backend engineer to join a globally distributed team building a new SaaS platform for data analytics and enterprise problems. You will ensure design, implementation, and quality goals across the framework and products.

You will design, develop, and architect the core backend platform, coordinate end-to-end development, and write reliable, secure code while participating in code reviews and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience including container tech like Docker.
• Experience building highly available, scalable distributed cloud systems.
• Strong multi-threaded programming understanding.
• Proficient with GoLang, Java, C++, or Python.
• Good knowledge of Linux and bash scripting.
• Experience with microservices and REST/HTTP/2 architectures.
• Experience with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo/Elasticsearch).
• Familiar with performance tuning, profiling and metrics tools.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and architect Securiti's core backend platform.
• Create architecture documents, specifications, and test plans.
• Coordinate end-to-end development, deployment, and testing of features.
• Write reliable, secure, scalable code and perform reviews.
• Monitor performance and address urgent issues on-call.
• Collaborate with support to resolve customer issues.
• Integrate new technologies into cloud backend infrastructure.
