Senior Backend Engineer, Cloud SaaS Platform

Job summary

Securiti is building a new SaaS platform as part of a globally distributed team of backend engineers. You will design, develop and architect Securiti's core backend platform, while creating architecture documents, functional specs and test plans to meet design, implementation and quality goals.

You will coordinate end-to-end development, deployment and testing of new features, write reliable, secure, scalable code, perform code reviews, monitor performance, and address customer issues.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience
• Experience with container technologies like Docker
• Experience building highly available, scalable distributed cloud systems
• Proficiency in GoLang, Python, C++, or Java
• Strong Linux and Bash scripting skills
• Good practices: peer reviews, tests, CI/CD
• Experience with microservices and REST/HTTP2 architectures
• Experience with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo/Elasticsearch)
• Familiarity with performance tuning and debugging

Responsibilities

• Be part of a globally distributed team designing and developing Securiti's core backend platform
• Create architecture documents, functional specs, design documents and test plans
• Coordinate end-to-end development, deployment and testing of new features
• Write reliable, secure, scalable code and perform code reviews
• Monitor platform performance and address urgent issues on-call
• Work with customer support to resolve customer issues
• Integrate new technologies into back-end cloud infrastructure
• Evaluate new technologies and apply them where valuable
