Job summary

Veeam Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help design and build a new SaaS platform for data analytics within a distributed Agile team.

You will ensure the framework and products meet design, implementation, and quality goals while collaborating across engineering and product teams. This role emphasizes writing secure, high-performance code, architecture documentation, and end-to-end feature delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, with cloud and distributed systems exposure.
• Proficient in at least one of Go, Java, C++, or Python; strong debugging skills.
• Experience with containerization, microservices, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the core backend platform with a globally distributed team.
• Create architecture and design documents, specs, and test plans.
• Coordinate end-to-end development, deployment, and testing of features.
• Write reliable, secure, scalable code and perform reviews.
• Monitor performance and address urgent issues while on-call.
• Collaborate with support to resolve customer issues.
• Integrate new technologies into cloud-based backend infrastructure.
